Course summary and requirements
The Safety Health and Environmental Awareness (SHEA) Power, suite of schemes have been developed in collaboration with industry to provide a uniform approach to health, safety and environmental awareness training across the utilities sector, in line with Health and Safety Executive guidelines. It is a passport scheme and does not indicate any level of technical competence or skilled expertise.
The SHEA Power is designed for those who require access to operational sites within the power industry, both permanent and temporary, at all levels including operatives, supervisors and management.
Assessments at the end of the course will be an: Multiple Choice classroom test and must pass to receive the SHEA Power registration (CSCS Card) valid for 3 years.
SHEA is a CSCS Partner scheme, meaning SHEA registration allows access to CSCS controlled sites for the purposes of utilities work. There is no additional requirement to conduct a touch- screen test or apply separately for a CSCS card, certification from the course will award the delegate with a CSCS certified card by EUSR.
No formal entry requirements needed must be aged 16 years or over and have basic knowledge of health and safety.
