Although the training doesn’t cover the use of specialist grinding machines, the health and safety information throughout the course is still applicable.
This Abrasive Wheels course will provide you with an introduction to working safely with abrasive wheels so that you can understand the risks and know which control measures are needed to prevent injury and ill-health.

Course summary and requirements
This 1-day course will be split in two halves, theory in the morning and practical in the afternoon.
This training is ideal for people working in positions such as, but not limited to:
- Engineer
- Builder / Floor Layer / Bricklayer
- Electrician
- Carpenter / Joiner / Fitter
- Site / Project Manager
- Welder
Assessments at the end of the course will be an: Multiple Choice classroom test and a practical observation assessment.
Successful completion of the training and assessments will result in a EUSR registration (EUSR Abrasive Wheel Card), valid for 3 years, in one or more of the following categories:
- Abrasive Wheels – Theory Only
- Abrasive Wheels – Petrol Cut Off Saw
- Abrasive Wheels – Electrical/Battery Angle Grinder (4 inch)
No formal entry requirements needed must be aged 16 years or over and have basic knowledge of abrasive wheels.
