There are two payment options for our courses:

  1. You can pay 50% upfront and 50% upon completion of the course.
  2. You can spread the cost of the course over 3 instalments.
City & Guilds or ProQual Qualifications are the two awarding bodies available. Both awarding bodies offer specialist qualifications for the construction sector. Each NVQ is developed in line with the industry’s requirements and are regularly updated.

Typical completion time is 4-6 months, and all learners are supported to complete within a 6-month timeframe, however this depends on how quickly you are able to meet the requirements of the NVQ. Our assessors can arrange calls, evidence gathering and assessments around your workload; the NVQ format is very flexible.

On completion of the NVQ, you are required to apply to CSCS directly for your card and supply them with your NVQ certificate details. You will also need to complete the relevant CITB Health, Safety & Environment test before applying for your CSCS card.
Construction Operatives looking to obtain their Blue Competent Operative Card or Blue CPCS Card should enroll onto our NVQ courses. NVQs are nationally recognised throughout the industry. Employers who are looking for trade operatives will be looking for individuals who qualify. By having an NVQ, you will be putting yourself ahead of the pack for progression in your own role or looking for employment.
The NVQ is used to ensure that you are competent in your current role. Therefore, you must be in full-time employment as a Trade Operator (in your field). Learners must be 16 or over to complete the NVQ. We can help to find the correct NVQ for you. Enquire via the form on this page, and member of the team will be in touch.
We offer a range of NVQs, available to complete nationwide. Companies and individuals can easily book an NVQ over the phone or online through our website. The majority of the qualification can be completed by you, in your own time. The rest will need to be assessed by one of our assessors.
Yes, Both CITB Skills and Training Fund & Grants can be claimed by CITB registered companies for all NVQs (with the exception of Occupational Health & Safety).

Learn more about how much you can claim. You will need to make a manual claim retrospectively. Find out how to do this here: CITB Levy, Grants & Funding.

The CITB Skills and Training Fund is a pot of funding that micro, small  and medium sized construction companies can use to improve the skills of the construction industry.

You can apply if:
  • you are a CITB-registered employer
  • you have 1-250 directly employed staff on the payroll
  • any previous project paid for by the Skills and Training fund has been signed off as complete.
